See 60103 ‘Flying Scotsman’ In Surrey This Thursday 30th May

This Thursday 30th May, the Flying Scotsman will be visiting Surrey. 60103 Flying Scotsman will be working a round trip through the Surrey Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This iconic steam locomotive will be making two round trips, one during the morning, and another the following evening.

The railtour is operated by Steam Dreams, operators of the Cathedrals Express trains. The train is expected to leave London Victoria at around 0846 in the morning, returning at 1230. The trip will head to Staines, Woking, Guildford then along to Shalford and Redhill before joining the Brighton Mainline back to London Victoria. The evening tour is also expected to follow the same route.

The Flying Scotsman was the first steam locomotive in the UK to reach 100mph. Since its restoration to mainline service, Flying Scotsman 60103 has proven popular among many as it travels across the country.
