An excellent photographic location, situated approximately 1/2 mile south of Plumpton station. Accessed from a public footpath which runs parallel to the track from alongside from the level crossing. There are two foot crossings, the second 1/4 mile past the first, just keep walking. Superb on sunny days for southbound traffic, but northbound can be washed out by a bright

Newhaven Town Railway Station sees bi-weekly trains to Newhaven Marine aggregates terminal. Trains typically formed of JNA boxes, but can also be formed of HHA hoppers. Operated by Freightliner throughout the week, with the exception of Thursdays which is operated by DB Cargo taking flyash from the incinerator to Brentford (via Acton TC).
