This public footpath is situated some 1/2 mile south of Cooksbridge Station. Its a 10 min. walk from the railway station via a public footpath. Platform 1&2 are the up and down fast lines while 3&4 are the slows with stoppers and freight. Clysthayes Bridge is a Grade II listed bridge on a lane linking Killerton House, near Exeter and Hele, a small settlement next to the M5 motorway. Toton Bank offers great shots of the working yard and rows of class 60s now out of use. Parking in the residential areas of Bessell Lane, one can head to the roundabout and follow a footpath up to the viewing point. Shots of the 60s are gradually becoming limited by the foliage.

Frinkley Lane Level Crossing goes across the East Coast Main Line immediately north of Grantham Station, just to the east of Marston village. The lane and crossing form part of a public bridleway. This section of line is incredibly fast. Trains can travel upwards of 100 mph and caution should be exercised for both those crossing and spotting / photographing.

An excellent photographic location, situated approximately 1/2 mile south of Plumpton station. Accessed from a public footpath which runs parallel to the track from alongside from the level crossing. There are two foot crossings, the second 1/4 mile past the first, just keep walking. Superb on sunny days for southbound traffic, but northbound can be washed out by a bright
